Tomica Young, Chief Marketing Strategist & Event Designer
Tomica has more than 20 years of experience in marketing strategy, project management and event planning. She’s worked in a wide range of industries, from healthcare insurance and telecommunications to preneed funeral insurance and automotive. In a few words, she understands what people need.As a marketer, she is results-driven, with a strong background in driving market share and brand recognition through strategic initiatives. Tomica has earned two Communicator Awards and two Hermes Awards for her work with UnitedHealthcare to co-spearhead a family health history tree and two wellness websites.
As an event designer, her goal is to ensure that each event represents the host, runs smoothly, and stands out as one to remember.
And as a champion of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, she believes it is imperative to bring the voices of underrepresented communities into the narrative.
Tomica is passionate about community service and cultivating relationships with local business owners and associations. She enjoys volunteering with community organizations that provide hunger relief, rebuild disenfranchised communities, and prepare young people to live their best lives.
Tomica is a graduate of the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with a BA in Psychology and Mercer University with an MBA in Marketing.
